Global Healthworks Foundation medical volunteers joined local health promoters to safely deliver acupuncture and moxibustion treatments, natural herbal remedies, therapeutic massage, and other healthcare services to several hundred patients in the rural Guatemalan communities of Patzité, Chichicastenango, Chiché, and Santa Cruz del Quiché.  Patients also received instructions for at-home body-movement exercises, informational talks about domestic violence prevention, and counseling support, as appropriate.  Thanks to all who participated!

Shifting Healthcare With Kindness & Compassion

Our volunteer team of alternative healthcare practitioners is comprised of: highly trained acupuncturists; nurse practitioners, Reiki masters; holistic health consultants; therapeutic massage therapists; yoga, Qigong, and Tai Chi instructors; physical and occupational therapists; and specialists in women’s health. Volunteers are selected to participate in our medical missions based on their skills in holistic health as well as their level of compassion, team-player mentality, and genuine concern for the wellbeing of others.

We're shifting the paradigm for the delivery of healthcare services … with all those who cross our path!
