Global Healthworks Foundation has been working in Guatemala for 5+ years. During that time, we've treated more than 56,000 patients from rural indigenous communities throughout the Department of Quiché. The following video provides a glimpse into the ways in which we're shifting healthcare with kindness and compassion with our patients, health promoters, and all those who cross our path. Brian, A Patient Perspective
Seven years ago at age seven, Brian was a patient at our first Jornada de Salud Integral (medical mission), a young kid with mobility challenges in all four limbs. It’s heartwarming to see him this week at age fourteen volunteering with the logistics team at our current clinic! And now, he wants to be a doctor!

Summary of GHF’s Integrative Healthcare Services
In this video, GHF Founder Dan Wunderlich describes the free healthcare services that are provided to medically underserved communities in Quiché, Guatemala. These comprehensive services take into account all aspects of the patient’s health -- the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects. The treatment modalities include: auricular acupuncture to manage stress, full-body acupuncture to regulate the body’s anatomical systems and to manage pain, therapeutic massage, natural plant medicine, Reiki energy, and special body-movement exercises that patients can repeat at home to continue their own healing. “It is clear that everyone leaves the clinic very happy!”
